| Caveo Technology, a technology consulting firm located in Minneapolis, is seeking qualified professionals for its Network Services practice. The Practice Manager of Network Services has responsibility for the development and growth of the network services practice for Caveo Technology Inc. This person should have knowledge of: current federal and international privacy and security regulations and possess technical certifications and training from one or more third-party vendors (Microsoft, Novell, Computer Associates, IBM). Candidates that demonstrate technical competence in lieu of certification will be considered.
This position offers a competitive base and performance pay model based upon billable utilization and gross margins providing the over-achiever with exceptional earning potential.
Essential Responsibilities
- Manages P&L and activities necessary to ensure achievement of strategic revenue and profit objectives
- Achieves client services operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
- Manages network services projects (including directory services, identity management, application packaging and distribution, Web infrastructure, disaster recovery, business continuity, server virtualization and consolidation, etc.). Plans service objectives by determining requirements; defining, assembling, and scheduling required service resources; confirming costs; defining service measurements.
- Accomplishes client services human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees and contractors; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
- Meets client services financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Increases revenue by recommending new and additional services to client; presenting cost-benefit analysis.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Accomplishes service mission by completing related results as needed.
- Manages partner relationships with Novell, Microsoft, Computer Associates, IBM and others
Requirements
- BA or equivalent in computer science or relevant discipline
- 10 years of information technology management experience
- Direct experience with Microsoft, Novell, Computer Associates, IBM and/or Linux technologies. Preference will be given to candidates with certifications from two or more vendors and possess strong Identity Management and LDAP architecture experience.
- Must have ability to architect, design and deploy identity management solutions for mid to large enterprises.
- Experience in proposal development and sales support
- Able to interact with ALL levels of management and clients
- Must be a proven leader, results oriented, and possess excellent communication and organizational skills
- Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
